The Nasarawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has delivered about 500 tons of railroad supplies to the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC).
DSC Jerry Victor, the Public Relations Officer (PRO), who represented the state commandant, Abbas Bappa-Muhammed, revealed this to newsmen in Lafia on Monday.
He said that at various locations throughout the state, members of the intelligence and anti-vandalism units had seized vandalized railroad materials, such as ballast and railway slippers, among others.
While accepting the goods, Austen Ashibekong, the regional district manager of the NRC’s North Central District, which has its headquarters in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, expressed confidence that they would aid in resolving some of the corporation’s issues.
