A photo circulating online captures actress Kate Henshaw engaging in a friendly interaction with Governor Sanwo-Olu, resulting in a considerable online buzz. Despite being one of the critics of Sanwo-Olu’s administration on social media, Henshaw faced backlash from numerous Nigerians who deemed her gesture inappropriate.

In response to the controversy, Henshaw took to her Twitter page to express her indifference towards public opinion regarding the photo. She clarified that the governor was well aware of the exchanged pleasantries they shared and emphasized that engaging with him at a public event would not deter her from speaking out against ineffective governance.

She wrote: “Clearly, I have gotten ur knickers in a twist & and the itch is too much for you 2 ignore, just like I am too important to ignore.

“I won’t bother to explain becos it is far above your pay grade.

“Mr Gov knows the exchange we had.

“It won’t stop me speaking my mind.”
