Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy finds himself in the midst of controversy as a video of him leisurely cruising his Rolls Royce through the bustling streets of Lagos has garnered significant online attention.

Following an extended tour abroad, the music star has returned to his home country, clearly savoring every moment of his time back. In recent events, the Odogwu sensation was spotted gracing the thoroughfares of Lagos accompanied by his entourage, navigating the cityscape in his distinctive Rolls Royce.

The viral video captures Burna Boy driving his vehicle amidst a convoy of police escorts, who can be heard audibly blaring their sirens. The video shows him making a left turn onto a road prominently marked with a green and white one-way sign.

Enthusiastic cheers and accolades can be distinctly heard from the individuals behind the recorded video, their exuberant shouts resonating at maximum volume. However, fans who came across the video wasted no time leveling accusations against the singer for blatantly disregarding traffic regulations by driving against the flow of one-way traffic.

A particular subset of these fans did not hesitate to point out what they perceived as hypocrisy. They highlighted the apparent dissonance between Burna Boy’s actions and the ideals he often addresses in his songs, which critique inadequate governance and oppression.

As the video circulated further, fervent demands arose for Burna Boy to face substantial financial penalties as a consequence of his actions.
