SirFiTech, an Abuja-based information and technology company known for guiding and mentoring individuals, organisations, and companies on making profitable decisions about financial values and tech ecosystem yesterday, the 22nd of May, 2023  commemorated the Bitcoin Pizza Day. 

The event took place at the National Children Park and Zoo and it had an attendance of FiTech lovers from and around Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory. 

The founder of SirFiTech, Mr. Kayode Iyanu, fondly known by his friends as Sirflex took the participants through the origin of Bitcoin and what it was known for before now. 

“This day is remembered for the day the first transaction on Bitcoin was made. At that time, a bitcoin was far less than a dollar and the first person that transacted bitcoin used it to buy pizza. At that time, it wasn’t convinced that a Bitcoin will amount to anything meaningful. So he traded his own for pizza” Sir Flex chuckles. 

“As of today, One bitcoin is worth over $26.8 million dollars. And the amount of that money he used for pizza that day could blow your mind” 

Although a social event, Bitcoin Pizza Day with SirFiTech was an eye-opening event for the teaming youth, who did not only had fun and connected with themselves, but also demonstrated satisfaction with the knowledge, and some of them have begun considering business with Bitcoin.

Highlights of the event include different kinds of games, people connecting from different walks of life, and light refreshment for the participants.
