During her electrifying performance of ‘Bodak Yellow’ at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas, US, Cardi B, the acclaimed US rapper, encountered an unexpected disruption on Saturday. A concertgoer raised a decorated cup and threw liquid at the 30-year-old singer, splashing it on her face and body, causing her to pause her performance.
Reacting swiftly and visibly infuriated, Cardi B retaliated by throwing her microphone at the unruly fan. Prompt action was taken by officials who quickly escorted the individual away from the venue. Astonishingly, this wasn’t the first incident during Cardi B’s time at Drai’s Beachclub. The day prior, she threw her microphone at a DJ, accusing him of prematurely cutting off her songs.
Unfortunately, Cardi B is not the only artist to face such disturbances during live shows recently. Last month, rapper Bebe Rexha suffered a facial injury when a fan threw a phone at her during a concert in New York. Additionally, US singer Ava Max was slapped by an overzealous fan during her performance in Los Angeles.
The incident has sparked discussions on concert safety and the need for attendees to respect the boundaries of performing artists.
