Senator Douye Diri has emerged as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the November 11 election in Bayelsa state. Diri’s victory came after a keenly contested primary election in which he defeated other contenders.

The PDP candidate expressed gratitude to the party leaders and members for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work towards the development of Bayelsa state if elected as governor.
