Drug Syndicate: NDLEA Wants Famous Couple, Prophetess.
The lid was blown off the cartel, according to NDLEA spokesperson Mr. Femi Babafemi, when NDLEA agents at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja Lagos, intercepted a shipment of 32.70 kilograms of Loud, a potent variety of cannabis hidden in cartons of used clothing, on Wednesday, November 16, 2022.

Igho Ubiribo and Danielle Simba Allen, a celebrity couple, and Faith Ugochi, a well-known prophetess and the founder of Christ Power Adoration Ministries, who are based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, have been declared wanted for enlisting teenage girls in drug trafficking while acting as the arrowheads of an international gang that operates out of Los Angeles, USA.

According to him, four further suspects were detained after further inquiries led to the arrests of Ukoh Ifeanyi Oguguo, a freight agent, Chikodi Favour, Obiyom Shalom Chiamaka, Nnochiri Chidinma Promise, and Edward Omatseye (aka Montana).

Favour, 15, was the first salesgirl to be detained at a gas station in the Ajah neighborhood of Lagos, according to Babafemi. She then directed the agents to a duplex apartment in the Lekki Ikate neighborhood.
“Another girl, Shalom, who recently graduated from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology’s agricultural science program, was chosen from the house alongside Favour.

“It was discovered during their initial questioning that the syndicate rented another facility inside Richmond Estate, Lekki that was used as drug storage. By the time agents found the home, it had already been broken into by other syndicate members who had taken bags of illegal goods with them.
“However, certain drug paraphernalia from the facility was found, including a sealing machine, a bloating machine, and packaging bags. After a follow-up operation, Edward Omatseye was apprehended at his home in the Lekki neighborhood. During the interrogation, Edward admitted to working for Igho and his wife Danielle, who is recognized as the top leaders of the criminal organization.

According to the NDLEA, the investigation was able to prove that Favour and Shalom were hired as salesgirls in the illegal drug trade by Prophetess Faith Ugochi, who used her church platform to hire teenage girls who were brought to her for assistance, on behalf of the business’s famous owners, Igho Ubiribo (also known as Tiny) and Danielle Simba Allen (also known as Dani).
While Nnochiri Chidinma Promise, a representative of Ben Cargo Ltd, a freight business in charge of bringing illegal goods into the nation, manages the illicit drug trade activities for them in Nigeria alongside Edward Omatseye (aka Montana).

A letter of invitation sent to Prophetess Ugochi of No. 27 Anozie Street, Mile 2, Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State on November 28, 2022, was received and acknowledged by her mother, with whom she runs the Church, the NDLEA added. “Several attempts to get Prophetess Faith Ugochi, Igho Ubiribo, and Danielle Simba Allen to submit themselves for questioning have proved abortive,” the NDLEA continued. When much time passed, a reminder was sent in response to the letter on January 9, 2023.

“In the same vein, letters of invitation were also extended to Ubiribo and Danielle. A reminder was also sent when the couple didn’t show any readiness to respond to the first invitation. While Prophetess Ugochi fled her home and went into hiding but continued her prophetic ministry on Facebook, the duo of Igho and Danielle initially sent a legal representation to ask for another time to honor the invitation, they have since gone incommunicado.

“Curiously, they hurriedly moved all funds traced to their company Lasgidi Backwood Ltd where all proceeds from the sales of illicit drugs were deposited into a private account of one Victor Imagoro. The Agency has since blocked the sum of N80,000,000 traced to the account and obtained a court order to seize all properties including a fuel station linked to the suspects in Lagos and Port Harcourt.
The celebrity couple Ubiribo Igho and Danielle Allen, who serves as the arrowheads of the illegal trade, as well as Prophetess Ugochi, who hires teenage girls as sales representatives for the couple, have also been declared wanted by the NDLEA, and they have been granted an order of the Federal High Court of Lagos.
