Kylian Mbappe rejoined the French training session on Wednesday following a nose injury sustained
against Austria in their first Euro 2024 match. The 25-year-old was seen wearing a protective
bandage and began training individually at first.

It is still uncertain if the French captain will be available for their second group match against the
Netherlands in Leipzig on Friday. The French Football Federation (FFF) had indicated that further
updates on Mbappe’s condition would be provided on Wednesday.

Mbappe was substituted during the Austria match after a collision with defender Kevin Danso’s
shoulder during an aerial challenge. The nose fracture was confirmed at a hospital in Dusseldorf
before Mbappe returned to join his teammates in camp. The FFF announced that a protective mask
would be created for Mbappe.

After the game, Austrian player Danso, aged 25, expressed his wishes for Mbappe’s quick recovery
and regret over his injury. Mbappe, who recently transferred to Real Madrid as his Paris St-Germain
contract nears expiration this summer, is expected to return for France’s last group match against
Poland on Tuesday.
