Tokunbo Wahab, the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, has firmly stated his commitment to take legal action against all 11 individuals working at 10 POTS Night Club, situated at 2A Admiralty Way in Lekki.
They assaulted state employees while on duty, and they unlawfully broke the seal placed by the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency on the club.
This response came following the apprehension of the club’s 11 employees (consisting of four men and seven women), who were arrested for assaulting state officials.
These individuals will face charges in court on Monday, along with the club’s owner, to set an example and discourage others from considering such unlawful actions.
“The arrested employees removed the seal of LASEPA which was used to secure the premises between 11.11 a.m and 11.33 a.m on Saturday October 14, following enforcement activities
“By 12.44 p.m. when LASEPA operatives returned to the club, it had been reopened and back to business.
“Attempts to reseal the premises were violently resisted by the staffers, inflicting bodily harm on state officials, necessitating the call for reinforcement of security,” Adeshina said.
