Chinedu Ikedieze, a highly talented actor in Nollywood known by his stage name Aki, has expressed his dismay over the overwhelming number of people who approach him via direct messages (DM) seeking financial assistance. 

Aki shared his concerns on his Instagram page, emphasizing that the situation has become unmanageable as his DM has seemingly transformed into a “Bank of Industry.” In his post, he disclosed instances where individuals implored him to provide a staggering $35,000 (equivalent to millions) and another person requested $12,000 for the purpose of opening a shop. This trend has left Aki disheartened by the extent of such appeals for help.

‘’This is getting out of hand. How can you people turn my DM to Bank of Industry?. If I open my DM is always ‘’Oga please, please, please’ Jesus! It is too much.

‘‘The way you guys beg it is like we do not have responsibilities. If I start to share the money like that it will finish.

‘‘Imagine somebody was begging me for $35,000. That is how much in Naira? Approximately twenty something Million. Another one was asking me for $12, 000 that he wants to open a shop. The problem is even that it is not just Nigerians,” he said.
