Sen. Bola Tinubu, Nigeria’spresident-elect on Tuesday, 9th of May congratulated Gov. Ademola Adeleke of Osun State on his Supreme Court victory.

Adeleke was urged by Tinubu to act quickly to unite Osun in a statement released in Lagos by his spokesperson, Tunde Rahman.

The President-elect declared that everyone involved in the Osun Gubernatorial contest must respect the Supreme Court’s ruling.

In addition, he praised Adegboyega Oyetola, the outgoing governor of Osun, for carrying out his duties honorably during the previous term.

In his words  “I congratulate Adeleke over his declaration by the Supreme Court as the winner of the Osun governorship election.

“The apex court in the land has spoken, and all must obey its verdict.

“Oyetola discharged himself creditably in office.”

“He lost the office but didn’t lose his integrity and reputation as the governor who brought efficiency, transparency, and accountability to the business of governance.

“Now the matter of the July 16, 2022, Osun governorship election has been brought to a close.”
