P-Square, the popular musical duo made up of Peter and Paul Okoye, has announced plans to release a new album soon.
The news comes nearly a decade after their last collaborative album, “Double Trouble,” was released in 2014.
In an exclusive interview with CNN, the group revealed their intentions to collaborate once more on an album.
Paul aka Rudeboy reflected on their history and discussed the events that caused their split and subsequent reunion.
He said: “Anything you see that happens to a (music) group, it’s the same thing that happened to us.
“Irrespective of how people want to look at it, we felt the fans were disappointed. We’re humans. It’s normal.”
Since they formally regrouped in 2022, P-Square has been fervently working toward their objective of regaining prominence in the industry with their distinctive fusion of Afrobeat and mesmerizing melodies.
To quell the fans’ longing for their music, they released the singles “Find Somebody” and “Jaiye (Ihe g’eme),” both of which received overwhelmingly positive reviews.
