Ijeoma Otabor, also known as Phyna, a reality television star, and Segun Olusemo, also known as Sheggz, a colleague, each won an award at the recently held Trendupp Awards.

Nigeria’s first-ever award, the Trendupp Awards, honours originality and the audacity of the nation’s content producers and influencers. It recognises people and companies for using social media effectively.

At the Balmoral Hall of the Federal Palace Hotel on Victoria Island, the third iteration of the award ceremony was held on Sunday.

Toyin Lawani, Poco Lee, and Charles Okocha were defeated by Phyna for the title of “Force of Online Sensation,” and Sheggz defeated Taaoma, Enioluwa, Bimbo Ademoye, and Priscilla Ojo for the title of “Force of Instagram.”

On her Instagram story, Phyna posted a video of herself dancing with an award plaque.

“Winning dance step,” she captioned the video.
