In response to the recent decision of the Appeal Court nullifying his election, Plateau Governor Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has characterized the verdict as a temporary setback that will not hinder his commitment to steering the state toward unity, peace, and progress.
Governor Mutfwang, undeterred by the setback, conveyed his strong belief that the overwhelming mandate bestowed upon him by the people of Plateau State would ultimately be reinstated. To pursue this, he has instructed his legal team to initiate an appeal at the Supreme Court.
In a statement released on Sunday, Governor Mutfwang urged citizens of the state and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to maintain composure. He assured them that, with unwavering faith, the people’s mandate would endure and be safeguarded as long as God remains in control.
