After running afoul of the Nigerian Police Force, well-known Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has left for Switzerland to begin a summer tour of Europe.

On Wednesday night, Seun and his band members reportedly took an Air France flight to Switzerland to start their European tour.

Remember that the musician was recently released on bail following court proceedings after being jailed for allegedly assaulting a police officer in uniform.

Shortly after he was released from custody after fulfilling the terms of his bail, Seun Kuti took to his instagram page to thank his family, attorneys, and everyone else who had been there for him during his ordeal in police detention.

Seun Kuti wrote on his Instagram post; “I be orphan o but family deeeey. I want to say a profound thanks to everyone who showed me all this love. All my friends that showed up. Thanks most especially to my beautiful wife, @chefyeidekuti

“Last but not least. The legal team. Uncle Femi Falana (SAN) Uncle Olumide Fisika (SAN) Uncle Kayode Adegoke (SAN) Barrister Ogunlana. Ade Ademiluyi. And everyone on the team. I owe you my freedom and my sanity. Let’s go.”
