Afrobeats star Simisola Kosoko popularly known as Simi isn’t fazed by the online chatter comparing her to her husband, Adekunle Gold. Speaking with African Folder magazine, she playfully called the comparisons ‘a bit shallow’. 

Simi, known for her soulful tunes and heartfelt lyrics, has made her mark in the music scene with numerous hits. She admits the comparisons were expected but believes they miss the mark on appreciating each of their unique styles.

Even though they’re partners in both life and music, Simi emphasized that it’s essential to celebrate the individuality of their artistry.

“The comparisons between me and my husband, although expected, are somewhat shallow,” Simi said.
